About Me

Megan Mathieson is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in Film and Television Production. She is a writer/director and a passionate storyteller, using her art to amplify female voices. Most recently, she worked as the Health & Safety Coordinator for Showtime’s production of Billions Seasons 5 & 6. As a student she spent two summers interning at WGBH, a branch of PBS, with experience as a research and development intern at Studio Six and as a post-production intern at Masterpiece. She has written and directed a variety of short films, including a foreign film shot in Prague that was an official selection at NFFTY’s 2020 festival. In Prague, she also had the opportunity to be the director of photography for a short film shot on 35mm. At NYU, she enjoyed working as a crew member on other student sets and volunteering at the Fusion Film Festival, an organization that promotes women in film. She is also a ballet dancer, pianist and jazz saxophonist.
